Abstract

This study examines the effect of e-government on service delivery in Delta State Ministry of Works, Delta State, Nigeria. Descriptive research design was adopted to guide the study; two hypotheses were formulated and tested. Chi-square non-parametric statistics was used to test the hypotheses. The study revealed among other things that e-governance has strong positive effect on service delivery by enhancing the performance of workers in the federal ministry of works in Delta state, Nigeria. The result of this study simply identifies full adoption of ICT in ensuring efficiency whereby workers are more diligent in their duties with little or no input. Due to this reasons, the study further recommended among others that government should improved the quality base of its digital system and ensure staff are well trained to meet up with the technological change affecting our global world and in the long run achieving their organizational goals.
