Abstract

This research undertakes a thorough examination of the President Goodluck Jonathan Almajiri School Initiative
and its implications for the Almajiri learning environment in Nigeria. Employing a comprehensive analysis
approach, the study delves into official documents and content related to the initiative, aiming to uncover the
explicit objectives, challenges encountered during implementation, and the overall effectiveness of the policy.
Through a qualitative exploration, this research contributes nuanced insights into the dynamics between policy
interventions and traditional Almajiri education systems, offering a contextual understanding that can inform
future educational policy decisions in Nigeria and similar socio-cultural contexts.
