Abstract

Strategic management requires planning to curb the challenges on entrepreneurship performance and the study evaluates the effect of strategic management on entrepreneurship performance in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This empirical study gathered data through secondary and primary sources. Individually, copies of questionnaire was administered on 100 entrepreneurs, 25 each randomly selected from 4 chosen purposively entrepreneurship sectors, including fashion designers, furniture makers, dealers in vehicle spare parts and building materials.  The simple percentage (%) and the multiple regression (e-view) statistical techniques were employed in the analysis of data collated, and showed that strategic management has significant and positive effects on entrepreneurship performance, but that different components or subscales of strategic management have different levels of impact on different entrepreneurship variables. The study recommends that although strategic management is essential to achieving goals and objective; getting and adopting the right vital management component will produce the proper performance results.
