About the Journal

Gombe Journal of Administration and Management (GJAM) is a print and online mode Journal that is published in May and October every year by the Department of Public Administration, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Gombe State University, Nigeria. The Journal endeavours to provide a forum for researchers, practioners, students, resource persons and people in the academia who are in interested in discussion on current and future issues and challenges impacting the field of Public Administration, Management Science, Humanities, Education, Arts and Social Sciences. For the purpose of efficiency and timely assessment of articles and possible publication, we have a dedicated crew of reviewers in related disciplines from within Nigeria and outside the country and an editorial committee charged with the responsibility of thorough assessment of papers submitted to the Journal. Papers are subjected to Turnitin Plagiarism software to ensure originality and integrity of the Journal. Those which meet the Similarity Index of 25 percent are sent out for review. We adopt double blind review policy in which both authors and reviewers are kept anonymous so as to maintain the high technical and quality standard for the Journal. The main aim of GJAM is to become one of the leading global journals by publishing authentic and scientifically developed research articles of international standard.

Guidelines to Authors

1. Authors must ensure that the paper has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
2. The language of the manuscript must be in English (British standard, neither American nor the mixture of both).
3. The submission file should be in A4 Microsoft Word file format (Times New Romans), fonts 12 and 1.5 line spacing. Acceptable format for the paper is the APA referencing style (latest Edition)
4. The title page should contain the title of the paper, names of the author(s), institutional affiliation, telephone number and e-mails addresses of the authors.
5. Abstract must be in italics and not exceeding 250 words and should contain brief problem statement, objective of the paper, methodology, findings and recommendations with at least 5 key words beneath it.
6. Authors of accepted articles shall be contacted for necessary actions while those whose articles are not publishable shall also be communicated.
7. Each article should be accompanied with a non-refundable assessment fee of Ten Thousand Naira only (N10000) payable into Guaranty Trust Bank Plc. Account Name: Gombe Journal Admin & Management (GJAM), Account Number: 0805061975. Payment slip should be scanned and sent online with the paper.
8. Accepted paper will be published upon payment of N20,000 which is stipulated page charge by the Editorial Board.
9. The views expressed in this Journal are not those of the Editorial Board or Gombe State University but those of the contributors and are simply published to promote discussion and scholarship.
